Angela Miller-Brown (Director for The Twelve Dancing Princesses and The Hobbit)
Angela Miller-Brown has loved theatre her entire life. She is a Theatre major and Literature minor from Johnson State College. Following graduation, she worked as the theatre director for Fair Haven Union High School, directing at least two shows a year, as well as participating in the One Act Festivals. This year, she received her English degree and teaching license from Lyndon State and is working at St. Johnsbury Academy. Her most recent acting credits include the Twilight Players' productions of All Shook Up as Mayor Matilda Hyde, and Rumors as Cookie Cusack. This is Angela’s second season with the Vermont Children’s Theater.
John Walker (Director for Barnum)
John Haynes Walker has acted in television, film and theatre for over thirty years and directed over fifty productions, working with Academy Award directors and actors including, Norman Jewison and Michael Radford. His television credits include recurring roles on: General Hospital, Homicide, Life on the Street, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman among many others. He has also worked with Tony Award winning directors and at Tony Award winning theaters nationwide. His resume includes lead roles at The Huntington Theatre Company of Boston, The American Conservatory Theatre (where he also earned his MFA in acting), The Boston Shakespeare Company, The Santa Cruz Shakespeare festival, The Garden Grove Shakespeare festival, the Gem theatre among many others. His directing credits include many professional theaters from Los Angeles to New York. Awards include the Los Angeles Dramalogue Acting Award as best actor in a drama. Mr. Walker also trained with The Royal Shakespeare Company and The National Drama League in London.
Susanne Norwood (Music director for The Twelve Dancing Princesses)
Susanne graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor's in Music Education. She has been a music teacher in the area for 15 years and returns to the Vermont Children’s Theater after.
Teddy DeGeorge (Lighting)
Teddy has been involved with the theater since 1991, when she was part of the theater magic as an old barn was transformed into a theater in Barnum. She has been doing the lighting at the Vermont Children’s Theater for years, and loves doing it. She has children who are in the theater and is delighted to be part of the 20 year anniversary of Barnum. |
